About me

Ph.D. in Computer Science, Singer, Game player/speedrunner, whose handle is “zalgo” and whose real name is Hiroki Tanabe.


In April 2014, I entered the Undergraduate School of Informatics and Mathematical Science, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University, in the first grade, and graduated from the same department as the valedictorian in March 2018. In April 2018, I entered the Department of Applied Mathematics and Physics, Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University. Due to my excellent research achievements, I was allowed to shorten the master’s program by half a year compared to the usual two years, and I completed the master’s program early in September 2019. After entering the Ph.D. program in October 2019, I also conducted research activities as a JSPS Research Fellow (DC1) and received the degree of Ph.D. in Computer Science in September 2022.
